Carly received her Juris Doctorate degree from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, California in 2009. Prior to law school, Carly graduated cum laude from U.C.L.A. in 2004.
Throughout her career, Carly has devoted her practice to employment law. Prior to opening the Law Office of Carly Nese, Carly was a partner at Littler Mendelson, the nation’s largest employment law firm. During that time, she litigated cases covering all aspects of employment law, from single plaintiff claims to class and representative wage and hour claims, in state and federal court as well as arbitration. Carly has handled hundreds of employment matters, including disputes involving sexual harassment, disability discrimination, gender discrimination, sexual orientation discrimination and harassment, religious discrimination, contract claims, trade secrets and non-competes, race and national origin discrimination, workplace retaliation, whistleblower retaliation, and wage and hour class and representative actions.
Practicing on the defense side for over a decade, Carly understands the strategies and business perspectives in handling litigation and this experience enables her to achieve her client’s goals through smart and effective representation. A thoughtful and fierce advocate, Carly is dedicated to fighting for her client’s rights. Carly is a zealous trial lawyer and most recently achieved a unanimous defense verdict for a corporate client in a disability and pregnancy discrimination case.
In addition to her vast litigation experience, Carly previously served key roles in her client’s human resources and legal functions. Carly’s unique understanding of her corporate client’s business and legal needs allows her to implement practical solutions to complex legal issues in representing her clients.
